Murray Outted For Nine Months Over Steward Abuse
New South Wales GHRRA Stewards have finalised an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding an incident during kennelling at the Gardens Greyhound Meeting on the 20th February 2009 involving greyhound trainer Jade Murray.
The incident related to Mr. Murray broadcasting serious allegations against Kennel Staff and Stewards during kennelling, in which, according to GHRRA Stewards, “Mr. Murray swore on a number of occasions in an offensive manner”.
After consideration of all the evidence Mr. Murray was charged with two breaches Rule 86(0) for misconduct and an improper act.
Mr. Murray pleaded guilty to a charge of using offensive language and not guilty to a 2nd charge of broadcasting serious accusations against Kennel Staff and a Steward.
Stewards subsequently found Mr. Murray guilty as charged on the 2nd offence of broadcasting serious accusations against Staff and a Steward.
After careful consideration on the matter of penalty, Stewards disqualified Mr. Murray for a period of nine(9) months from 12th May 2009 for the improper act and fined him $330 on the 2nd offence of misconduct.
Mr. Murray was advised of his rights of Appeal.
