NSW Anabolic Steroid Positive

Hot on the heels of Queensland’s first positive swab to a banned anabolic steroid, New South Wales have finalised an in to a to the same banned steroid.

Stewards finalised an Inquiry into the positive finding of in the urine sample taken from the greyhound at on the 2 July 2008.

Hydroxystanozolol is a metabolite of the synthetic Anabolic Steroid Stanazolol.

Mr. the Owner/Trainer of Moorbel Jack pleaded guilty to a breach of Rule 83(2)(a). After hearing submissions on the matter of penalty, Stewards disqualified Mr. Ginn for a period of six(6) months from 5 September 2008.

Moorbel Jack was disqualified from its winning performance at Bathurst in accordance with Rule 83(4).

Mr. Ginn was advised of his rights of Appeal.
