NSW Anabolic Steroid Positive
Stewards finalised an Inquiry into the positive finding of hydroxystanozolol in the urine sample taken from the greyhound Moorbel Jack at Bathurst on the 2 July 2008.
Hydroxystanozolol is a metabolite of the synthetic Anabolic Steroid Stanazolol.
Mr. Glen Ginn the Owner/Trainer of Moorbel Jack pleaded guilty to a breach of Rule 83(2)(a). After hearing submissions on the matter of penalty, Stewards disqualified Mr. Ginn for a period of six(6) months from 5 September 2008.
Moorbel Jack was disqualified from its winning performance at Bathurst in accordance with Rule 83(4).
Mr. Ginn was advised of his rights of Appeal.
