Jodie Lord's She's A Pearl stole the show once again at Wentworth Park on Wednesday night, producing a scintillating personal-best performance of 29.46 over the 520m on a rain-affected circuit.
Overcoming another middle box alley, the daughter of Aston Dee Bee and Shez Impetuous careered away to score by 7.25 lengths over recent G1 placegetter Chase Me Honey. It was her third-straight win with a massive 2022 ahead for the chaser owned by Greyhounds HQ, which includes prominent media identities such as Marc Ohlmus, Jason Adams and Jason Lincoln.
Popular Western Sydney trainer Troy Vella made a triumphant return to the track in race nine with his first starter at the Glebe circuit in 18-months. Redhead Rider jumping smartly from the outside alley, leading throughout in a solid 30.15 performance.
Trainer Jack Lowe also notched up his first win at the track since March 2014, with Barooga Franky scoring in race 8 by 4.75 lengths in a solid 30.01 performance from box five. After placing third last week, he broke through for a victory in just his second start at the track.
Young gun trainer Jay Opetaia continued his winning ways to kick-start 2022 with Agland Luai saluting from box seven for the second consecutive week in 30.11, taking his Wentworth Park training statistics to two winners from two starters.
