Rock It Reta’s breakthrough Goulburn win sets up winning treble for owner/trainer
Rock It Reta broke through for her maiden win at Goulburn on Friday afternoon after a string of runner-up finishes.
The Matthew Duncan-owned and trained chaser lined up in the 440m maiden as a -142.86 race favourite, after four career races all finishing in second.
Punters support at greyhound betting sites was overwhelming leading up to start time, with Rock It Reta backed in from +260 odds.
At box rise, she jumped from the yellow box and moved straight to the lead off the back of a fast middle split, with Mrs Dimaggio chasing in second.
Around the final turn, Rock It Reta kicked away into the straight to beat home Mrs Dimaggio by 2.0 lengths in 25.11, with Be Johnny finishing third.

Last time out, on September 15, she was sent out for her first look at the Goulburn track, finishing second behind Mellcat Blue Boy by 0.75 lengths.
The daughter of Fernando Bale and Miss Vanuatu started her career on August 26, over the 516m journey at Dubbo, finishing 2.25 lengths off the winner Total Glamour.
Rock It Reta is from Miss Vanuatu's only litter consisting of three bitches and one dog, with Rock It Reta being the second winner from the litter.
Friday's card at Goulburn was a successful one for the litter with two more of the littermates also saluting on the card.
Her sister, Vanando lined up for her fifth start and took her third win, beating home Titan's Fire by 2.25 lengths over the 350m trip.

Her brother Run Rebel Run broke his maiden, beating home Dodger's Boy by six lengths in his second career start over the 350m journey.
