Ronray Spirit goes all the way in 2015 Warragul Cup

THE 2015 Cup was taken out in superb fashion in 25.78 by the Terrence Reid-trained Ronray Spirit (8) from a gallant Luca Neveelk (1). The first surprise in the race was Luca Neveelk being clearly crossed early by Jubilea Bale (2). Ronray Spirit started the race off extremely well from the outside and soon found himself challenging Jubilea Bale for early supremacy.

Big Ticket (5) and Sisco Rage (6) both loomed as dangers during the middle stages of the race, but both met interference, leaving the race at the mercy of the son of and Ronray Disco.

The hard luck story of the race was the -trained Ride The Rails, which is owned by Nadine Brown and was undoubtedly the sentimental favourite of the race.

The win was the first victory of Ronray Spirit's career and takes his career record to 12 wins and two placings from just 18 starts. His prizemoney earnings are just short of $60,000 after pocketing connections $45,000 in tonight's final.

Special mention to the win in race seven by the trained Armed And Ready in 25.57. This chaser has a big future ahead of him.
