Rue De Kahn Simply Brilliant In Group 3 Richmond Oaks Final
VINEYARD trainer Dean Swain notched up his first Group win of 2015 at Richmond on Saturday night, with Rue De Kahn blowing away her rivals in the Group 3 Richmond Oaks final.
Exiting from box six, the daughter of Where's Pedro and Shelbourne Dawn got a glorious rails run at the first turn after early leader Star Torana ran wide. Renowned for her strong finishes, Rue De Kahn streaked away to score by three-and-a-half-lengths over Star Torana, with Miss Sueko a further length-and-a-quarter away in third position.
The winner recorded a speedy time of 30.71, with a slick run home of 15.21.
The win was the 18th of Rue De Kahn's career at start 59 and she collected a $30,000 winner's purse, taking her prize money total to an outstanding $198,360.
