Sweet It Is Takes Out 2014 Bold Trease

She has done it again.

The bitch that trainer described post race as a “ re-incarnated” unleashed her trademark run home to clinch the 2014 One Bold Trease at at Sandown Park on night.

A clear run in transit is always the key for the daughter of and Off Springer (Flying Penske – Skullring) and, while she was slightly hampered leaving the home straight the first time, she could not of asked for a much better trip.

Ever the consummate professional, took full advantage of the uninhibited run home to give the early leaders a cold and storm away to salute by a cool 5 1/2 lengths in a rapid 41.56.

After leaving the boxes reasonably well, Sweet It Is settled in seventh place as Zipping Maggie (2) took the ascendency, leading from Space Star (4).

Halfway down the back straight, Space Star took over and looked a big hope. Sweet It is began her move as the field passed metre boxes and made ground in a hurry.

Swinging for home, that familiar lightning turn of foot was as evident as ever as the 28kg black bitch hooked to the outside and put paid to her rivals in the twinkling of an eye en route to her fourth Group One victory.

Space Star hung on for second placing with rank outsider Reap The Benefit (5) working home for third placing.

Of the beaten brigade, excuses could not really be made for any of the runners with the winner simply too good and interference reasonably minimal.

The win was Sweet It Is' 15th from 47 career outings and sees her career earnings reach a whopping $584,065.
