Talgi confident in Schillaci ability in the Golden Easter Egg
Victorian greyhound Schillaci is set to make his first appearance at the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg at Wentworth Park on Saturday night, March 30.
After a standout trial at Wentworth Park on March 2, clocking a 29.70, he has shown his strength with two exceptional trials leading up to the Golden Easter Egg heats.
Under the guidance of Jihad Talgi, Schillaci's performances have been truly outstanding, claiming the $1 million prize in The Phoenix and coming in second in the Group 1 Australian Cup Final on February 24.

His speedy trial run at Geelong in 22.20, nearly clocking the track record, and another impressive performance at Sandown, where he secured the fastest run of the day, have solidified his position as a top contender for the Golden Easter Egg title.
Talgi is confident about Schillaci's chances in Saturday's race, with him starting from box three.
The anticipation for Schillaci's win is high, especially considering Talgis's journey from a pizza shop owner to achieving his dream of paying off his mortgage through Schillaci's victories.
Despite a setback during a trial in March at Wentworth Park, Schillaci has shown improvement and strong performances leading up to Saturday night's race.
Schillaci, with an ideal draw and in good form, seems ready to make it to the semi-finals, setting the scene for an exciting showdown with the top greyhound bookmakers currently offering $3 for him to win heat 1 of the evening.
The heats of the Ladbrokes Golden Easter Egg are shaping up to be fiercely competitive, with known contenders like Warragul Cup winner Tim Zoo and Alpha Zulu competing for glory.
Trainer Jason Thompson is confident in his two greyhounds skills, emphasising their experience and peak performance as they gear up for the finale.
