Up Hill Jill takes out Group 2 Laurels Classic

has upstaged her rivals to score a victory in Thursday night’s Classic (515m) at .

Starting from box one, the -trained bitch showed tremendous early dash, rolling straight to the front of the pack in the charge towards the first turn.

Once out in front she was never headed, with the classy youngster scoring by just under eight lengths in a fast 29.55.

Swan (box six) ran a nice race to finish second, whilst race-favourite (box three) produced an enormous run to cross the line in third spot.

Up Hill Jill is a daughter of and Where’s and has now won seven of her 14 starts with an additional five minor placings. Thursday’s victory also took her career earnings above the $80,000 mark.
