Zipping Neutron triumphs in Premier’s Cup at Angle Park

Zipping Neutron
strengthened his form over the 730m trip with a lead-all-the-way win in the Premier's Cup at on night.

Trained by , the dog was sent to the boxes in the $10,000-to-the-winner contest, paying +115 with top online greyhound bookmakers.

Jumping from box four, he spearheaded to the lead as the field swung the first turn, with Fantastic Radley (+600) chasing in second.

Around the final turn and into the home straight, race favourite (-111.11) came through on the rail to challenge the leader.

Zipping Neutron held off the challenge to kick away and beat Moraine Suzie by a length in 42.87, with Fantastic Radley finishing in third.

Zipping Neutron has run the track and trip 14 times for 13 wins and a minor placing to build a reputation as a genuine stayer.

He has now notched up five wins on the trot while only going unplaced twice in his past 19 starts, armed with a 63% rate in the placings.

Starting his career in July last year, Zipping Neutron finished fifth in a seven-dog field at the 450m trip.

It would take seven starts for him to crack his maiden when racing over the Wentworth Park 520m journey in September last year, beating home by six-and-three-quarter lengths.

From a litter of six out of and by , Zipping Neutron has gone on to become the most successful of his siblings, banking $131,240 in prize money with a career of 23 wins and nine minor placings from 51 career starts.
