The Listed Collerson Top Tip

The Collerson is the consolation for the Group 1 Paul Wheeler and is wide open this year. History’s Coming usually shows good early pace and might be the leader but often folds under pressure. Ritza Piper just doesn’t know how to run a bad race, and although poorly drawn in box seven, you can be assured she will rush forward and try to lead all the way. Bandit Darryl and Galactic Spartan would need luck and something special to salute.

Wentworth Park Best Bet – Make Them Cry

Make Them Cry made a mess of them over 600m at Gosford on Tuesday night, which should be a great hit out for this race. She has won five and run second on 11 occasions from her 19 starts. She usually shows good early pace and will need to from this draw. but with the scratching of Honk Honk outside her, she should be able to use the middle of the track to position herself perfectly early and use her exceptional strength to power past them to another good win.

Wentworth Park Next Best – Ferness

Ferness had been horribly out of form before running second in the heats of the Goulburn Cup and finishing fifth in the final. She has been out for a break since then, which should freshen her up nicely. She won a heat of the Group 1 Vic Peters here back in June and was placed in the final, which shows her true class. She will appreciate being in this fifth-grade race, and if the freshen-up has worked, she might start with decent odds with the top greyhound betting apps for a Group 1 placegetter in a fifth-grade race.
