Topgun and Topgun Stayers invitations announced for 2024
The Melbourne Greyhound Racing Association (MGRA) has announced extended this year’s nominations for the 2024 Group 1 Sportsbet Topgun & 2024 Group 1 Topgun Stayers races scheduled to take place on the evening of Saturday, November 9, 2024, at The Meadows.
The club has invited 36 sprinters to nominate for the eight slots in the Group 1 Topgun over 525 metres, and they’ve invited 20 stayers to nominate for the Group 1 Topgun Stayers over 730 metres.
The panel in charge has the authority to extend invitations to any greyhound they believe deserves one at any time before nominations close.
It is now up to owners and trainers if invited greyhounds to nominate for the races before Friday, October 25, 2024.
The top prize in the year’s Group 1 Topgun is $150,00, and greyhounds in the Group 1 Topgun Stayers will be running for first place prizemoney of $75,000.
