2024 Bold Trease Final: Canya All Class heads the betting market

Canya All Class has emerged as the betting favorite for Saturday’s Group 1 Bold Trease Final at Sandown Park after a commanding performance in the heats.
The Topgun Stayers champion clocked a blistering 41.55 seconds over the 715-meter distance, the fastest time among the four heats held last Saturday evening.
Starting from box 1, she showcased her speed with an impressive 6.03 first split and recording an impressive 30.01 third split, fending off a late surge from Black Silencer to secure her spot in the $75,000-to-the-winner final.
Trainer Jessica Hopkins expressed her admiration for the greyhound’s performance, saying,
“I am just so proud of him to run those splits and give us confidence for Saturday.”
Hopkins added that Canya All Class’s relentless effort throughout the race highlights his staying power, with the top greyhound bookmakers pricing him as a $2.80 favourite to win.
“His third split is as good as they go; he just keeps fighting.”

Both greyhounds have demonstrated strong form, setting the stage for a highly anticipated rematch on the night.
Flying Envy ($11) and Ella’s Babe ($5.50), who finished first and second in their heat, will start from boxes 8 and 7, respectively.
Ethanol Water ($5.50), another heat winner, displayed her class by defeating Pass Mark and will jump from box 5, while Pass Mark ($17) takes box 3.
Shadows of Blue ($31) and Canya Amy ($9) complete the eight-dog field, with Finnis Jewel ($31) and Payback ($31) named as reserves.
Hopkins, who is aiming for her second Group 1 victory in a month, praised the versatility of Canya All Class.
“I am just in awe of the dog; what he trialed over the 500m on Monday night he could compete in a Melbourne Cup heat.”
The heat-winning performance reaffirmed Canya All Class’s status as a top contender, and Hopkins is optimistic about her chances of adding another prestigious title to her kennel.
As the final approaches, all eyes will be on Sandown Park to see if Canya All Class can solidify his dominance in the staying division and continue her remarkable run of form.
