Wentworth Park Saturday preview & betting tips | September 7

There will be 10 quality races at Wentworth Park this Saturday, with the first starting at 6:53pm Sydney time. The final of the restricted-class series will be the highlight, with some very talented greyhounds engaged. Australian Racing Greyhound has had a look over all the runners and tried to find you a couple of winners.
Race 8: West Rock Casey (8)
West Rock Casey won his heat well here last week and draws nicely in this final. While his time wasn’t super, his run was, and he is still improving after only his fifth career start and his third win. He has two moderate beginners under him, and if he can begin and stay in the middle of the track, he may well get the fly around them at the first turn.

West Rock Casey (8)
Form: 31511 | Career: 5: 3-0-1 | Trainer: Mary Hughes
Race 9: Almost (8)
Almost has a great record of eight wins and 17 placings from 35 starts, although his Wentworth Park stats — none from six — are far from stellar. He is much better when drawn off the track, and he gets his favourite box eight in this race. He doesn’t run a strong 520m, but if he is left alone in front, he will run you about 30.10 — and that might just be enough in this race.

Race 5: Embrace (7)
Embrace only turned four during the week, and considering she has been racing in the best class races possible for so long, this masters’ race will seem like a massive drop in class. Her form hasn’t been so bad, with a flying second here three starts back. She is the class runner in this race and will hopefully return to the winners’ circle in her first masters’ run.
