Nationals Contenders Trial At Angle Park
Two of the interstate finalists for the TattsBet.com Nationals trialled between races at Angle Park yesterday.
First to trial was Arsonist, trained by Heather Collins from Victoria. Arsonist has qualified as the “Wild Card” greyhound in the Sprint Series; she is the highest AGRA Rankings rated greyhound, which competed in a State Final, but didn't win.
Arsonist trialled over 515m and her sectional times were: 4.46, 17.05, 13.09, giving her an overall time of 30.14. As this was an official stewards trial, her weight was 28.6kg, up .6kg on her last outing.
Mickie Keato, trained by Ray Keating, was the other greyhound which trialled. Mickie Keato qualified for the Distance Championship as the winner of the Victorian Final.
His trial was conducted over 600m and his sectionals were 9.35, 22.32 and12.93, for an overall time of 35.25. Mickie Keato weighed in at 29.9kg, down .3kg on his last start.
GRSA will be conducting trials for eight of the Finalists tomorrow night, as previously advised.
