Greyhound Betting Tips Thursday 9th January
Albion Park Greyhounds Race 9 Box 5 Swap, 9.34pm
I doubt we will see many roughies win at Albion park tonight and the best value winner I think I can find is Swap.
There's really only two dogs who are in form and are likely to win. Boxes four and five, Star Speed and Swap, the latter being the better chance in my eyes. The Glen Smith trained runner can show enough speed to lead, but he can also come from behind them to beat them too. His PB of 30.33 is quick enough to win this, but now the track is racing two or so tenths quicker, if he does salute, expect him to run around the 30.20 mark. Both dogs, Star Speed and Swap, should clear out and it will be very tough for the others to catch.
Swap should start at about $4.00 and he's worth the bet at that price.
Angle Park Greyhounds Race 5 Box 1 Noble Kahn 8.38pm
Very tough race and it won't be easy to win this, but Noble Kahn has the box and the speed to run them of there feet. He's just cracked the 30.00 second barrier here., but does have the ability to run 29.80 odd. There will be no room for error and he must fly the lids, but if he does and he's out on the bunny running his best, it will take a big effort to pick him up. Cosmic Way is the run on dog of the race and expect him to be screaming home.
Noble Kahn is a big chance.
Dapto Greyhounds Race 9 Box 4 Mad Mark Azza, 10.22pm
This dog should win this. He's got some pace, but finds it tough to get a clear passage. He's had numerous chances to break his maiden status, but finds a way to get beaten each time. He's got panels on this sorry lot and as long as he doesn't completely bomb the start he should win. Punters looking for value might find it in taking a wide trifecta, as it's very open behind him.
Hobart Greyhounds Race 7 Box 6 Winston Wolf, 9.44pm
Winston Wolf put in a solid run last week when only going down by a narrow margin. He only began with the pack last week, but showed plenty of ticker to keep pushing and burst to the lead. He was run down on the line, but faces weaker opposition tonight. He can improve on last weeks time and expect him to better his time and win this tonight.
Sandown Greyhounds Race 10 Box 6 Charmed Assasain, 10.14pm
Big chance and the right race for the former Sydney chaser here. Charmed Assassin for trainer Kel Greenough, looks the winner despite the tough box he will have to exit from. He won't fly out and will only come out with them in this.
But he does have plenty of ability and can run quick time when on song. A lot of his competition are out of form or have had many starts. So tonight's race looks the right one for him to win.
