The Gardens – Leg 1 – Race 5: Toe Punt To Place $1.67
Toe Punt is normally a very reliable beginner and he has won two of five over this trip and he has been placed on another two occasions. He takes on a good one in Black Frenzy but if he can get away cleanly he should settle just behind it in the early stages and if that happens he should fill the quinella spot. Outside of those two runners, this race doesn't have a lot of depth so he should take home some minor money.
Leg 2 – Bendigo – Race 3: All In Amy To Place $3.75
All In Amy is much better than her recent form reads and although she can be hard to follow at times, she does have a heap of talent when switched on. From the pink draw, she should get a nice cart across from the seven in the early stages and if she can balance up in the top four or five, she should be there to threaten as they turn for home. She is currently big odds and I think she can add some value to our multi.
Leg 3 – Bendigo – Race 5: Gunmetal Rebel To Place $2.10
Gunmetal Rebel is stepping back up in distance but he did record a handy placing over this trip two runs back and he should have the speed to lead for a long way today. There is no speed in the one and two and I am expecting him to clear out early. The last 50m will be a struggle for him but he should have a nice lead as they turn for home and that should be enough for him to hold on for some minor money.
