Wentworth Park tips

Wentworth Park plays host to 10 high-class greyhound races this Saturday night, with the first set to begin at 6:59pm local time.

The highlights of the night will be the finals for the boys’ and girls’ fifth-grade series, along with a strong non-graded race.

Australian Racing Greyhound has looked closely at each event and found three of the best bets for August 30, 2025.

Race 6: Spiralling (1)

Spiralling showed his quality in the heats of this series, leading all the way in a slick 29.71 to make it four wins from nine career starts. While the Peter Sims-trained chaser does like to drift up the track a fraction in the early stages, he should have some help from kennelmate Gold Revolver in box two. He has only finished outside the placings once at Wenty Park, and with his pace and draw he should be adding to his winning tally.

Race 2: Just Ken (3)

Just Ken ran fourth in the final of the Gosford Goldmine and backed that up with a fast win there three weeks back. He can be a touch tardy at box rise, which has cost him a couple of races already in his career; however, if he can come out of the boxes humming and find a nice position in running, Just Ken will certainly give them something to beat.

Race 9: Taw Major (8)

Taw Major has not produced his best in his last two runs, but just two runs before that he beat Coast Rig in 29.8 and two runs before that went 29.6 around here. If he was drawn in box two, he would probably start favourite, but a record of one win from five starts in box eight should mean he is well over the odds. If he gets the room early to zoom down the middle of the track from the awkward draw, he is certainly capable of scoring at a nice price.
