Wentworth Park greyhound racing tips | Saturday, August 2
The Wentworth Park greyhounds are running again this Saturday night, with 11 high-quality races on the bill for August 2. The highlights will be the finals of the boys’ and girls’ restricted-class series, a great staying race, and a top-grade 520m event featuring the flying Taormina. Australian Racing Greyhound has perused the fields and come up with the three best bets on the Wenty Park program.
Race 8: Chief Lightning (8)
Chief Lightning was very good second-up from a lengthy break, doing everything right and only being gobbled up with 50m to go. He will take extra fitness and improvement from that run, and if he can begin in his usual manner and cross the inside division, he may well improve on his personal best yet again. Box eight will be no concern, as he loves the middle of the track; he just needs to begin well.

Race 9: Allan Keeping (2)
Allan Keeping has been racing superbly since coming back, and his effort at Taree was very good. His last win at Richmond was blistering, and if he can reproduce some of that magic, he will beat this quality field. He loves an inside draw and is two from two in the black and white. If he can just get across Nangar Lady in the early stages, he should go on to record a big win in fast time.

Race 3: Dingโs Sandy (4)
Dingโs Sandy comes to town with an impressive five wins and three placings from her 10 career starts, and her last two victories at Temora were especially impressive. Box four should suit her, as she likes to stay in the middle of the track until the turn appears and then charge across to the fence. She could easily lead this race all the way at great value odds with the top bookmakers.
