He's So Good had always shown signs of talent which was evident in his top 25.50 debut win at Shepparton in January, however in his three subsequent runs he was unable to recapture that form until last week. Last time out he turned in a monster effort when placed behind the exciting Soda Lad over this journey and on that occasion they posted a very slick 29.37 and his own personal time was around the 29.50 mark. If he gets a clear passage in the first 40-metres he should be winning.

Jen Zarr Go showed explosive speed in her handy placing at The Meadows last time and if she can show a similar display of speed tonight she should be leading for a long way, she appeared to be a run or two short last time so I'm expecting her to hit the line a little better.

Zipping Chrystal has been placed in three of five starts to date at The Meadows and she appears to be a very strong chaser, she will need some luck from the wide draw but she should be hitting the line solidly and a top three finish is on the cards.

Cosmic Trickstar rounds out the chances, I dont think he can win but he does have a big finish so he could sneak into the placings at nice odds.

8HISAGI BALE (NSW)[6]17421FSHA Dailly (Anakie)
9THUNDER RAZ [7]Res.41636NBTR Tartaglia (Newcomb)

Zipping Nelson isn't a brilliant beginner but from the red he should be afforded a fairly clear passage in the first 50-metres and he should prove too strong for his rivals. Last time out he lined up against a handy lot of youngsters and once he rounded them up turning for home he made them look second rate. There is a little bit of speed on his outside but he should balance up in the top four early and he should run over the top of them late.

Hisagi Bale is drawn on the wrong side of the track but he should get a nice cart across from the seven early and that should help him find the early lead. Last time out he overcame early difficulties to score at The Meadows in 30.54 and with a clear passage tonight he should be running quick time.

Same Day must be respected, he has scored two brilliant wins to date and the manner in which he hit the line in those races suggests that he won't have too much trouble with the extra distance tonight.

Zelemar Storm rounds out the chances, he returned to form with a slick 25.33 Warrnambool win last time and he does have a good record here.

Tizza Nitro continues to improve with more racing and she has really caught the eye in her two recent wins here. Her early sectionals were impressive and if she can reproduce that type of run again she should be able to roll to the early lead and she will prove hard to reel in. Her overall times have been handy and although this is a step up in grade, it's very hard to tip against her.

Dodgy Dede has been flying at in recent weeks and her sizzling 24.79 victory was ultra impressive. She stepped up to the 520-metre journey at Sale last time and ran it out well enough to suggest that she will be a major player in this event.

Cadence Bale has the class edge and she ripped home to score at Cranbourne last time in 30.51, she has the ability to show a lot more early zip tonight and if she can settle in the first half of the field she will definitely make her presence felt.

Walt Bale rounds out the serious chances, he rarely wins but he is never far away in this company and he does like racing at this trip.

Going for a little bit of value in this event with My Zephyr, she was beaten in her heat and she was a tad disappointing, however tonight she has a desperate wide runner drawn on her outside so she should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first turn. She is capable of going around the 29.50 mark here and if she holds them out she will give a great sight.

Midnight Flynn has the class edge and he was a commanding 29.63 heat winner last week, if he gains a clear passage he will be winning again. The only concern with him is that he is desperate for the outside and he can be slow to begin at times, so he will need some luck in the early stages.

Waymore Blues hit the line strongly in his 29.73 heat win last week. It will probably work in his favour if he can miss the start tonight and then rail up behind Midnight Flynn as they head into the first bend.

Hashtag Selfie must also be given a chance, she has scored two top wins here of late and she has recorded impressive sectionals which make her a contender tonight.

Recruitment appears to be poorly drawn tonight but at present he keeps on winning and it's hard to tip against him. Last time out he rolled to the early lead and was never in doubt when scoring at the Meadows in a slick 29.85, if he can cross again tonight he should be able to score with considerable ease.

Cornelius Fudge is a veteran chaser and he has seen better days, however tonight he finds himself in a very weak race and with some luck in running he might be able to return to the winners list. In recent weeks he has been beaten in very slick times and he has found bother in running, tonight he should be able to settle in the first half and he should finish in the top three.

Humphrey Bale scored a strong 30.33 win at The Meadows last time and he should be in the firing line for most of the journey, there isn't a lot of speed underneath so he shouldn't have too much trouble getting across.

Peloton Bale has a big engine but he always finds a way to get beat, he must be included in your exotic bets.

8JULIE BALE (NSW)[3]1644442.02(8)S Collins (Lara)

Dzeko can be hard to follow at times but she is all class when on song and from her favourable wide draw she should get every chance to salute. Two starts back she showed fantastic mid race dash before scoring in a sizzling 41.81 and if she can regain that form she should be winning quite easily.

Ralphy Cinel reeled off blistering sectionals in his 42.01 win here last week and he should be leading for a long way again, tonight's event is a little stronger than last week's effort so I dont think he can win but he should hold on for a place.

Beks is never far away in this company and he will be steaming home at the end, he has been placed in his past three starts at The Meadows and he should finish in the top three again.

Julie Bale posted her smart 42.08 PB here from this draw and she must be included in your quaddies, she has the speed to drift across and settle in the top three and she should run a cheeky race.

Faultless beginner Lamia Bale is all class and she is unbeaten in her only two tries over this trip. She has very little speed drawn on her outside, so if she can ping away she should fire to the early lead and that should be the end of the section. Three starts back she destroyed a quality lineup at in 29.90 and this really looks her race.

Wind Whistler is a powerful chaser and he will be steaming home at the end, he has been placed in six of seven here with two of those being victories. He should get a nice trail through behind Lamia Bale and he should be right there at the end.

Lady Toy is expected to start favourite and she has been absolutely flying in recent months, she faces a tough task from the poor draw tonight but she has amazing track sense and she can work her way through the field.

Agent Jack can be hard to follow at times but if he is he becomes a serious contender, the draw is a big plus for him tonight and he must be included in your quaddies.

Fernando Bale is an absolute beast and he capped off a good stretch of form with a dazzling 29.10 win here last week. After beginning well, he showed an abundance of early speed and soon after box rise he assumed control and was never in doubt. There is a bit of speed drawn around him tonight but it is very hard to tip against a dog who just keeps on winning.

Weblec Belle has been a tad disappointing in recent weeks but back in early March she did post a sizzling 29.26 victory here and she is suited to the wide draw, if she can settle in the top three early she should be fighting out the finish.

Mepunga Armagh has a great record here and he recently scored a strong 29.54 win here, he will need to hold Fernando out early to win but even if he doesn't he can take home some minor money.

Aristotle Bale rounds out the chances, he loves racing from this draw and he can run serious time when he is able to sight the lure early in his races.

Very open race but if the speedy Oakvale Flyer can come out cleanly she should be able to lead from go to whoa. Three starts back she showed terrific early speed when posting a handy 34.38 win here and if she can show a similar amount of speed tonight I can't see them reeling her in. She should be around the $3.50 mark with William Hill and that appears to be nice value.

Alexis Kelton has won four of six here and she should be in the mix for a long way, she was a tad disappointing at The Meadows last time but I'm expecting a better effort tonight as she does save her best for this track and trip.

Blue Giant could be the value, he has been looking for a rise in distance and if he can avoid trouble in the first 50-metres he should figure in the finish, he does do a lot of things wrong in his races but there is no doubting his talent.

Ruff Edges isn't without a chance, he is currently in career best form and he is drawn well, however I feel he is likely to start under the odds because he is a doubt to run out the journey.

Angel Of Music is a faultless beginner and she has really caught the eye with some slick wins at the Meadows and Warrnambool in recent weeks. She has been placed in eight of ten here with three wins and she should be able to cross and lead at the first bend, this isn't an overly strong race so if she does cross she should be scoring.

Crackerjack Burn is another who is racing in good form and he should be in the mix for a long way. Two starts back he reeled off great sectionals when winning at The Meadows in 30.29 and he must be respected again.

Gorham Bale should be suited by the drop back in distance and he will be hitting the line strongly, he enjoys racing over this track and trip and if he can find the rail in the early stages he should be right in the mix.

Sam Harper rounds out the chances, he has won here in a sizzling 29.44 previously and he is dropping in class tonight, the only concern is the awkward box draw.

Elfen Bale is a lid pinger and if she finds the early lead tonight she should be winning. Last time out she beat a more than handy lineup at Geelong in a slick 25.73 and she has also won at The Meadows in fast time. There is very little speed on her outside so she should be afforded all the breaks in the run to the first turn.

Andiamo Nemo returned to his best with a slick 30.24 Cranbourne win last time and if he can overcome the poor draw he can win again. If he is each way odds he is worth an investment, however if he is too short it may be worth risking him because he can make mistakes in his races.

Humming Birdhill is always a chance in this company, she was desperately unlucky here last week. She was about to cross and lead but unfortunately she was dragged down, if she can ping away again she should figure prominently.

Brown Bomber appears to have finally put it altogether with back to back wins at The Meadows and Sandown Park and with a clear passage early tonight he should notch up the hat trick. There is a bit of speed drawn out wide tonight, but if he steps on terms he should have enough speed to hold them out and if he does he will prove very hard to get past.

Shanlyn Violet continues to get better with every run and she has run the hands off the clock in her two recent Geelong and Warragul wins, she will need some luck from the middle pin but if she does ping away she will take some stopping.

Mag Bale is just as talented as the two top picks but unfortunately he can bomb the start at times, he will be well fancied tonight but I think place claims appear best for him.

Evers Bale is the run on type in the event, she will give them a fairly big head start but she can sneak home into third spot.

Top Four: 3 – 5 – 4 – 6
