Hara’s Cookie claims Golden Oldies feature for Daley & Glover
Hara’s Cookie turned in a powerful front-running performance to claim the 2025 Golden Oldies Final (520m) at Albion Park on Thursday night, giving trainer Jemma Daley and owner Tony Glover a well-deserved feature victory.
Jumping sharply from box six, Hara’s Cookie surged to the early lead, navigating a first-turn jam-up that saw race favourite Succeed checked out of contention.
Once clear, he extended his advantage down the back and never looked back, scoring by 2¼ lengths in 30.03 seconds ahead of Bogie Dominator and Honey Bar Cool, with the top greyhound bookmakers paying $8 for the feat.

Daley’s kennel representative was thrilled with the win, crediting last week’s heat performance for the improvement.
“No, he went super tonight. Really happy. Really needed that run last week. He got run down on the line, so much improved performance. Very happy,” Neal said post-race.
Hara’s Cookie’s early speed proved the key, clocking a slick 5.50 to the first marker and leaving the chasers scrambling.
“He’s very good at being very reliable, I should say, out of the boxes,” Neal added.
“Pretty confident in the run once you’re able to set up that break mid-race?”
“Not really. The 7’s pretty strong, so I’m glad we could just hold him off, really,” he admitted.
The victory continues a consistent career for Hara’s Cookie, who now boasts 16 wins from 49 starts with over $125,000 in prize money.
After winning this feature race, Hara’s Cookie is now prepared for a Townsville campaign, providing Daley with another exciting target.
“Like West Oak, he’s heading to Townsville now, so it’s good to pick up a feature with him before he heads off,” Neal confirmed.
