Eighth Wonder makes his Sandown Park debut and should start favourite from box 2. David Burnett's youngster found early trouble in the final of the Group 1 Silver Chief on Saturday but was a solid winner of his semi final, was impressive when second in his heat, and looks well placed to add to his six career wins. Stone Cold Sober is a solid Queensland performer and could give a good sight from box 1, while Garner is always competitive at the venue. and Kelandy are strong, but both have a horrible Sandown Park record.

Rick's Pride has been mixing his form but can run time if right and has box 1. finally broke through after a number of minor placings with a win from this box last week.
