Belford booming with another Townsville four-for
Bradley Belford is a name synonymous with Townsville greyhound racing, and Tuesday night marked the third consecutive meeting where the trainer had four winners at the Far North Queensland track.
Warbel Logan ($2.30) kicked things off winning the first race of the evening, before kennelmates Pretty Cindy ($2.40), Jupiter ($3.30), and Balts Obsession ($3.90) also took top honours.
Balts Obsession put in the performance of the night from the kennel, winning by five lengths in a time of 21.79 and almost beating her own track record over the 380m (21.74).
The kennel has 40 racers currently and Belford says that no dog is more special than the others.
“We have just got plenty, so there isn't anything in special,” Belford said.

Winner: Balts Obsession (21.79)
Jupiter is a recent addition to the kennel, coming north from Brisbane and having had three runs at Townsville.
His first time stepping out was an eighth-placing, but a rise in distance to 498m saw him finish second last Friday.
His win on Tuesday night in a tight finish showed Belford his ability.
“I think he is going to be alright in the long run,” he said.
Although there are not any specific races targeted by Belford, he is focused on continuing the streak and getting the best from his dogs.
“You really pick and choose races that dogs you train may be suited to,” he said.
“We are obviously going good.
“We just have to keep that going now.”
