2015 Group 2 Warrnambool Classic odds, form and free race tips

THE Group 2 Warrnambool Classic final, run on Wednesday night, will showcase some extremely talented greyhounds, with $75,000 on offer to winning connections.

puts the polish on race-favourite Shared Equity after a devastating performance last week where she led all the way from box one. The gifted daughter of possesses blistering early pace and she has drawn favourably again in the final, coming up with the coveted rails alley. Shared Equity is the deserved $1.22 favourite with William Hill, being unbeaten at this track and distance with a flying personal best of 24.87.

Ballerino, the $5.50 second elect, suffered his first defeat at the track last week when finishing second to Fearless John in 25.41. Trained by , the son of has previously recorded a fast personal best of 25.18, with a repeat of that run sure to see him figure in the finish.

What's Chewing can also feature in this event for the in-form Kelly Bravo kennel. The son of Nitro Burst and Flushed was impressive in his semi-final victory last week clocking 25.53 and with a personal best of 25.08 over the track and trip we can expect plenty of improvement on the clock with a clean getaway.

Dewana Result is the only other greyhound in this final which has previously broken 25 seconds, with a speedy personal best of 24.95. Trainer will be hoping his charge goes one better tonight and breaks through for his first win at the track, after previously finishing second in both attempts.

The final will be run and won at 9.52pm EST, lets hear what our expert tipster Brad Bugeja had to say about each greyhound.

Box One: Shared Equity
Black Bitch – 28.0kg – February
Brett Lee x West On Bluebird
Trainer: Angela Langton
Career: 13:8-0-1
Prizemoney: $16,610
T/D: 4:4-0-0
T/D Best: 24.87
Career Highlights: WON Geelong 25.63, WON 27.84, WON 29.90

“She is one of the most in form chasers in training having won seven of her past eight starts and she appears to be getting better with every run. From the red draw she should be able to fire to the early lead and if she does I can't see them getting near her. She is getting quite strong now so I'm expecting her to be a force to be reckoned with when she heads to town and takes on the big guns in the near future.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $1.22 with William Hill

Box Two: Ballerino
Black Dog – 35.5kg – November 2012
Premier Fantasy x Come On Luann
Trainer: Joe Borg
Career: 20:8-5-3
Prizemoney: $38,750
T/D: 3:2-1-0
T/D Best: 25.18
Career Highlights: WON Warrnambool 25.18, WON Sandown 29.40, WON The Meadows 29.97

“Strong 25.18 winner in the first round of heats and he followed that effort up with a very strong placing last week. If he gets away cleanly he will be a serious contender as that will allow him to sit just behind the red in the early stages. I dont think he can reel the red in but he should hang on for the quinella spot. My concern with him is that he can bomb the start and he does like some room to move in his races.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $5.50 with William Hill

Box Three: Dewana Result
Black Dog – 37.6kg – July 2012
Cosmic Rumble x Wildcard Lass
Trainer: Brendan Dewan
Career: 17:10-2-1
Prizemoney: $55,200
T/D: 2:0-2-0
T/D Best: 24.95
Career Highlights: WON Shepparton 25.01, WON Warragul 25.43, WON Sandown 29.42, WON 29.74

“Freak talent who would beat any runner in this field one on one, however he has terrible box manners and under race conditions he needs a lot of things to go his way. His two efforts throughout this series have been impressive and if given a clear run tonight he is a top chance, however I'm willing to risk him as I believe he will get spat out the back in the early stages.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $6.50 with William Hill

Box Four: Stop Moochin'
Dark Fawn Dog – 37.5kg – December 2012
Where's Pedro x On Shore
Trainer: Thomas Sinnott
Career: 40:13-9-2
Prizemoney: $29,900
T/D: 7:3-1-0
T/D Best: 25.44
Career Highlights: WON Cranbourne 17.84, WON Warrnambool 22.13, WON Geelong 22.48, WON Horsham 23.39, WON 24.88

“Has scored two handy heat wins in recent weeks and with his early speed he should give a great sight. I dont think he can cross the red early but he shouldn't be too far away and if they shuffle up behind he may be able to hold onto a top three finish. Clearly his toughest test to date and he will need a lot of things to go his way.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $21 with William Hill

Box Five: Fearless John
Black Dog – 36.7kg – February 2013
Fear Zafonic x Golden Gwen
Trainer: Nicole Davis
Career: 44:9-16-6
Prizemoney: $31,880
T/D: 8:2-4-1
T/D Best: 25.41
Career Highlights: WON Sale 25.03, WON Ballarat 25.49, WON Geelong 25.85, WON Sandown 29.78, WON The Meadows 30.08, WON Cranbourne 30.42

“Powerful 25.41 heat winner last week and with a clear passage he could sneak into the placings. He tends to miss the kick in his races and he likes to get out wide into some open space, with a wide runner on his outside he should get a fairly clear passage so he is a must for your exotic bets.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $23 with William Hill

Box Six: Nunya Tron
Black Dog – 36.6kg – October 2012
Dyna Tron x Miss Someone
Trainer: Simon Barker
Career: 9:4-2-2
Prizemoney: $8,006.88
T/D: 3:1-2-0
T/D Best: 25.66
Career Highlights: WON Bendigo 23.95, WON Shepparton 25.43

“Very hit or miss at box rise but when he hits the ground he has the speed to match any chaser in this event. He is suited to the wide draw and his two heat efforts have been good. The concern tonight is that there is a fair bit of speed on his outside and both chasers will be looking for the rail, so it's likely that he will find bother.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $34 with William Hill

Box Seven: What's Chewing
Black Dog – 35.6kg – January 2013
Nitro Burst x Flushed
Trainer: Kelly Bravo
Career: 22:9-1-2
Prizemoney: $30,895
T/D: 4:2-0-0
T/D Best: 25.08
Career Highlights: WON Geelong 26.01, WON Horsham 27.31, 32.27, WON The Meadows 29.79, 34.42, WON Sandown 34.21

“Sizzling 25.08 heat winner two weeks back and prior to that he recorded a breathtaking 29.79 Meadows win. He is a freakish talent and if he comes out running he will prove very hard to hold out, however I would have preferred him from a rails draw. I really think the red is a moral in this event, so it may be worthwhile anchoring this bloke for second and third in your exotics behind the red.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $11 with William Hill

Box Eight: Cosmic Lily

Cosmic Chief x Tinker's Rebel
Trainer:
Career: 36:10-12-6
Prizemoney: $18,990
T/D: 10:2-4-2
T/D Best: 25.57
Career Highlights: WON Shepparton 22.07, 25.43, WON Warrnambool 22.40, WON Horsham 23.87

“Has been racing in consistent fashion recently and she will be in the mix early but this is a big rise in class for her and I think she will fold up in the home straight. Great effort to qualify but I can't see her making an impact in this class.”

Odds to win the Warrnambool Classic: $23 with William Hill
