Albion Park Thursday tips, odds & quaddie | November 9, 2023
Albion Park is set to host a 12-race program on Thursday night from 6:13pm local time. The meeting is headlined by four heats of the 2023 Rising Stars, featuring the likes of Bogie Hurricane, Jen's Joy and Inconspicuous. The top two finishers from each heat will take their place in next week's final.
Race 6: Jen's Joy (1)
Jen's Joy has been racing in terrific order and will make her presence felt in the second heat of the Rising Stars. The daughter of Aussie Infrared qualified for the Group 1 Ipswich Cup two starts ago, running a gallant second behind Bear's Bullet. The pair fought out the finish in last week's final, where Jen's Joy fell just short. Now she steps back to an age-restricted race and comes up with the gun draw. Expect her to spear the lids and take some catching.

Race 6 –
Form: 12123 | Career: 10: 3-4-1 | Trainer: Jamie Hosking
Race 7: Inconspicuous (2)
Inconspicuous has won four of his first six starts, including a quick 29.96 personal best. He found plenty of early trouble at his last start, and it could pay to be very forgiving of that effort. He has drawn superbly in the third heat of the Rising Stars, with Smart And Classy on his outside being a noted wide runner. Expect Inconspicuous to find a forward position on the first turn and prove hard to hold out.

Race 9: Villante (3)
Villante has been in terrific form stretching back to early October, when he ran second in a Million Dollar Chase heat to subsequent winner Jay Is Jay. His effort last week was very good, jumping well from the low box to push through, lead and clock a slick 30.34. Thursday's map appears favourable, with Double Up Bill being a noted slow stepper and Mr. Springtime a noted crasher. If he gets close enough, he can run over the top late and surprise the short-priced favourite.
