Leg 1 – Sandown Park – Race 2: Transkei Prince To Place (Top Two) $1.80
Transkei Prince is a highly promising stayer and he should be a lot better for the run when placed in his debut over this distance two runs back. He isn't the best beginner but he does have a good turn of foot mid race and I would expect him to balance up in around third or fourth. He is one of very few genuine stayers in this event, so if he gains a clear passage he should be right there at the end.
Leg 2 – Sandown Park – Race 4: Call Me Tickets To Place $3.75
Call Me Tickets isn't the best of beginners but he has shown a heap of talent in his career to date and he appears drawn to get the run of the race tonight. I'm expecting the inside division to punch through and hold the early lead, so that should allow him to drive up behind them at the first turn and he should settle in a threatening position. He is quite strong in the run to the line and with some luck in running he should make a big impact at nice odds.
Leg 3 – Sandown Park – Race 7: Cut Loose Max To Place $2
Cut Loose Max is a gun when on song and he should get a nice cart across in the run to the first bend and if he balances up in the top three, he will take a power of beating. He was recently placed in the Group 2 Geelong Cup Final and since then he has turned in some monster performances. He is currently around the $6.50 mark to win, so I suggest you have a win bet on the side as that appears to be great value.
