Our resident expert and dog whisperer, Brad Bugeja, has gone through the field and listed what he fancies below.
Best Bet at Warragul
Race 12: Peregon Flyer
Three starts back he posted a classy 26.19 win here and from the red draw he should be able to repeat the dose. There isn't a lot of speed drawn around him, so he should be able to hold them out and he appears to have a fair bit on these. If you can get around the $2.40 mark, that is great odds.
Best Value at Ipswich
Race 7: Victory Prince
He is a class act when on song and he finds himself in a race which lacks early speed. The middle draw is a disadvantage, but he has a dazzling turn of foot and I'm expecting him to take control as they head into the first turn. The pink will be short, so if you can get around the $4.50 mark that is enormous value
Best Roughie at Horsham
Race 7: Mepunga Moss
She has been very disappointing of late and she is clearly down on confidence at present, however I think she will be able to find the early lead tonight and that might help her regain some confidence. I'm expecting her to start above the $8 mark and she could be worth an each-way ticket.
Best Quinella at Warragul
Race 5 – 1 to rove with 3,5,7 ($3 for 100%)
Bowl' Em Out is racing in rare form and from the red he should be leading all the way. Last week he posted the fastest heat time and he should be winning. Allen Gravion and Chrichton Bale will hit the line solidly and have big chances, whilst Wild Wright got lost on the turn here last week and he should show improvement.
Best Trifecta at Gawler
Race 7
8/4,6/1,4,6,7 ($6 for 100%)
Best Quaddie at Horsham
Leg 1: 1,3,6,8
Leg 2: 1,4,5,6,7
Leg 3: 1,2,6,7
Leg 4: 3
$80 for 100%
