Racing returns to the Rockhampton track this Wednesday night with a 10-race card that promises plenty of action for greyhound fans and punters alike. The first race jumps at 6:54pm AEST, with the meeting rolling through to the final event at 9:58pm. With a variety of sprint and middle-distance contests across several grades, there’s something for every type of greyhound and every level of punter.

The headline act is Race 9 — the Garrards Horse & Hound — run over 510m and offering the richest purse of the night at $2,990 to the winner. This top-grade contest is the feature for a reason, drawing together a competitive field of seasoned chasers ready to go to war for the cash.

Beyond the feature, Rockhampton’s meeting includes everything from Maidens and 5th/6th Grade sprints to mixed-grade events and a testing M5 heat. With most races run over the sharp 407m dash and a few stretching to the longer 510m, there’s a great mix of speed and stamina on show.
