Leg 1 – Bendigo – Race 10: Oaklands To Place $1.73
Oaklands has been racing in very strong company of late and he should appreciate the drop in class tonight. He is armed with smart early speed and from the two draw he should be able to drive to the early lead and he will take some catching. He has won three races over this trip and I think with a clear passage he is capable of going a little quicker than his 24 flat PB. He is good value at $5 for the win but for multi purposes I think the place is a safer option.
Leg 2 – Warrnambool – Race 6: Bannister Bale To Win $1.85
Bannister Bale hasn't won in his past four starts but he has been placed in all of those races and in his latest effort he recorded a very quick time overall when narrowly beaten at Sale over 520m. He isn't overly fast early but he does muster speed quickly and I am expecting him to round them up mid race before roaring away to an easy victory. He has plenty on this lot talent wise and with an ounce of luck he should be winning.
Leg 3 – Geelong – Race 8: Ultima Bale To Place $2.88
Ultima Bale can sometimes bomb the start but if he does tonight that should work in his favour. There is a heap of speed drawn underneath him tonight, so if he can miss the kick he should be able to drift across and find the rail with relative ease. He is extremely strong in the run home and he is capable of running serious sectionals when coming from off the speed. He is currently well over the odds at $2.88 with Bet365 and he looks a nice bet.
