While it is uncommon for a mid week meeting to have early markets, you can still find some great value by having the accounts set up and checking the race odds when they drop, usually about 40 minutes before the race.
Best bet: Ballarat race 7
Noonbarra Joe is a very reliable beginner and with a clean getaway he should be able to cross and score. Three starts back he beat a classy lineup at Warrnambool in 25.36 and this is actually a drop in class for him. He should be around the $2.60 mark and that is pinching money.
Best Value bet: Warrnambool race 8
Luca Neveelk
He is going to go around the even money mark, so you’re probably asking where the value is? With the presence of Kayda Shae his odds are going to be greater than what they should be, he is an absolute moral and he should be around the $1.20 mark, however you might get around even money. So I just you get your multis ready for the weekends sport and throw him in there just to add some value.
Best Roughie: Bulli race 8
Rivergum Drive
His most recent form doesn’t look too flashy but he is much better than that and at around the $8 mark he is enormous value. He has the speed to settle in the top three early and he will be very strong in the run to the line. At the big odds he is worth an each way ticket.
Best Quinella: Albion Park race 8
Boxed: 4,5,7,8 ($6 for 100%)
Very open affair and I think the speed is with the middle division, if they can get across and carve up the inside runners they should get the fly and dominate the race. With the race being so open, you should be able to snag a nice dividend.
Best Trifecta: Angle Park race 9
1/7/4,5 ($2 for 100%)
Best Quaddie: The Meadows
Leg 1: 1,8
Leg 2: 2,6,7,8
Leg 3: 1,4,6,7
Leg 4: 1,8
$64 for 100%
