Big night ahead for the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club with the running of there annual Ipswich Cup. Recent Lismore Cup winner Regal Lauren appears to be the series favourite after drawing favourably out wide. The first race kicks off at 8.04pm QlD time.
Ipswich Greyhounds Race 7 Box 1 Yogi Blue 9.59pm
This fellow looks the best boxed dog all night here. The flying machine has recorded a scorching 30.28 here and gets how chance to repeat that here from the cherry. There's some quality runners engaged in this race, but as you know; box 1 is worth is a huge advantage.
Yogi is a little iffy and can sometimes put in a shocker, but he should have no trouble bouncing straight to the front and once on the bunny he looks far too good. Great bet and first into the final I reckon.
The Meadows Greyhounds Race 5 Box 3 Langi Bale 8.37pm
Langi finally returned to some winning form last week and she should go on and win a few more now. She did only win fairly and in average time, but is was a welcomed turn around on past efforts. She's a quality animal who can run time when on song, and will look to take the early lead here tonight. If she leads, she wins; and if she “possies” up close early she wins. She is quite strong and one of the better boxed stronger runners. The only concern is her poor winning record here at The Meadows, with on 2 wins from 12 starts; but she's the class runner and deserves the title of top pick.
