Greyhound Betting Tips For Thursday 7th March 2013
Yesterdays Results: Ragtop Mustang – Winner $5.80, Racemussen – Winner $1.50, Shontel Sunrise – Second $1.50, Marley Girl – Scratched, Taper Jean Girl – Second $1.30.
Five heats of the Racing Qld young guns tonight, and Hawko's Mistake looks to have a strangle hold on the race. He's been getting better with each run and looks set to book himself a berth to next weeks final. Northern Rivers, trainer Peter Simpson, has two runners engaged who both came through the recent Vince Curry series, and both dogs have drawn the hardest two heats. Keep your eye on these for the future.
Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 3 Hawko's Mistake. 7.46 pm Qld time
The son of Buckingham Chuck, will start a short priced favourite in this, bt he looks all over the winner. He finally broke throughout the magical 30.00 barrier last start with a all the way victory in 29.94. He's come up with box 3 in this and while there are some really nice youngsters in this, none of them have the class or experience factor of this guy. Only last week he dismantled a best 8 field, claiming the scalp of Group 1 Winner Metz Magic. He should head this field off from box rise, and race away here.
Angle Park Greyhounds. Race 9 Box 2 Miss Woods. 10.05 pm Nsw Time
Staying event here and it's near impossible to go past one of S.A's most honest and consistent chasers. Miss Woods has barely missed a place over this trip, and has beaten Kalden Mayhem over this journey Fair and square; and he's not here tonight.
She has a very fast PB of 43.47 and if she runs anywhere near that, the interstate visitor Fantasizzing, will have a mighty job to catch her. She should race handy, and with a little luck she may be able to hit the front a lot earlier than usually. The class runner no doubt.
Sandown Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Omar Gee. 9.35pm Vic Time
This bloke is going tremendous, and I think he was unlucky not too of made the Australian Cup final. He won last start here in 29.65 – an average sort of time. But go on his flying 29.76 run at the Meadows. If he can bring that sort of run to Sandown he will certainly go very close to winning this. He should have no trouble handling box 1, and from the rails he should boot up and have hopefully lead around the first turn. If he finds the lead it will take a big effort to run the son of Trewly Special down. Good box, Fast Dog, Should win.
The son of Collision and Elated Lady should have no trouble collecting the winners cheque here. He has enormous early toe and should lead from box to winning post here tonight. He was made to work really hard in the early stages last week. He's only a little fellow at 28kg, but with speed to burn. He should bounce straight to the lead here tonight and easily win this race. Perfectly boxed in the red and I can't find anything to beat him here. He will have to beat himself to get beat against these. This bloke is developing into a top line Tassie chaser. With enormous early toe he explodes from the boxes and puts pay to his rivals a long way from home. Did it in fine fashion at a Devenport on Tuesday, and should continue on his winning way here. Hello Knocka has the ability to go with Nooee's Lad in this, but from the better box and the fact Nooee's Lad almost always comes out, the son of Knocka Norris will find it very tough to beat the Lad. Box 1 is perfect and this should see him continue on his winning way. Best of Luck $$ Another Day Another Dollar $$ Hobart Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Nooee's Lad 10.08 pm Vic time
