Greyhound Betting Tips For Tuesday 5th March 2013

We managed a clean sweep again last night, with 3 winners from 3 starters. Unfortunately our other two selections never felt the lead and collar around there neck. After the scratching of Cousin Callum, and the power problem at , which forced the meeting to be abandoned.

Last Nights Results
Mysterious Thing – Winner $2.60
Compass – Winner $1.40
Speed Lane – Winner $3.90

Im not as confident about today as i have been in the past, and if you are planning to break the bank, today may not be that day. Tread carefully !!

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 5 Box 2 Surfin’ Kawati. 4.27 pm QLD time

Mmm, Surfin’ Kawati, the current final section record holder over 520 at -a very fast dog. Honest? A little iffy, and iffy and slow beginners are a punters worse nightmare. I usually steer right away from these animals. Backing dogs that need luck in racing,is a sure fire way to go broke. So why select him you may ask? Well he should be the best value of the short priced favorites today. There is absolutely no doubt he is the fastest dog one out in this race, but this means nothing in greyhound racing as luck and all too often decide the outcome. Box 2 should suit this guy perfectly, with the 1 and the 3 both very quick beginners. He should have no trouble holding down 3 or 4th position around the first turn. With very little speed outside i can see him maneuvering into a winning position early. He only needs to get around the first corner, and gain a clear passage to belt these. If he can do this, he will have no problem powering right over the top to win here. Do not back this dog with confidence -Bet at Own Risk! However if he is $2.80- $3.00 he may be worth the risk. I’ve given you the information, now you make your own decision. Good Luck !!

Gawler Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 5 Alis Bale 2.03 pm VIC time

Another Shorty, probably the shortest of the day; but as close to unbeatable as you will get. Track specialist that has barely found a dog who can beat her here – 9 starts 8 wins, 1 second. Her record speaks for itself, she can lead and win, come from behind and win; just about fall over and still win. There is no danger for some unknown reason she loves and some seriously fast dogs have challenge her and all bar 1 failed. Put simply I’d challenge anyone in the world to tell me how shes going to get beat. However now I’ve said this things may go wrong.. LoL.

Devonport Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 2 Rewind 2.32 pm Vic Time

I can hear you all now, I know “it doesn’t take any skill to tip the Tassie Champ”; but as I said earlier its not a day of super confidence. So I’ll take the easy road out and tip the shorty’s! Most of us know the Rewind story, he’s near unbeatable at home and he generally only tastes defeat at the hands of a quality mainlander. Their isn’t any of them here today and he should just win. He’s going really well and should just continue on his winning way.

Lismore Greyhounds Race 3 Box 3 Bit Breezy, 7.23 pm Nsw time

I can honestly say, this bitch has only just come to my attention of late. I’ve witnessed her at her last couple at Ipswich, and both times looked a good thing beat. She failed badly Saturday night on a bog track from a wide box, so we will totally forget about that run. Tonight she has drawn well, but is up in distance and this make its tough to be overly confident. Its a weak field, and she’s an experienced campaigner. I’m hoping this is enough to get her home on this. The 520 wont be too much of a ask and with a good jump, she could prove hard to catch. One thing is for sure, if she fails tonight and heads back to Ipswich and gains a inside box, I’ll be backing her no doubt. Each Way here tonight.

Gosford Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 1 Dual Aces, 8.57pm Nsw time

Maya Keroma, is no doubt going to be favourite, if the so called smarties keep putting their hard earned on. I fell victim once, but no way, not again she can happily win without me. She has great early speed but stops as if shot. This is why im selecting Dual Aces. She wont be able to keep up early with Maya, but will certainly loom large in the second half of the race. She should camp all over the back of her main rival and blow her away. The daughter of is not super strong either but surely she can go past Maya Keroma here. She’s finished off her races really well at , and got home nicely at , so she should handle the added trip here. I can’t select Maya Keroma here and have gone looking for something to beat her, and Dual Aces is it !! Each Way.

Traralgon, Greyhounds Race 8 Box 8 Orthia Bale, 9.09 pm Vic time

, is far from one of my favourite tracks and to make matters worse, the majority of the races are those, speedy squib, no good events that even the professionals fail to find a winner in. They are boring riddled with interference, and quite frankly their should be far less of them in my opinion. But I’ve found a race over 520m and hopefully a winner. Orthia Bale looks as if she may have learnt what winnings all about. She has a tremendous place record with 13 seconds, but only 4 wins. But she went super well last start wining at as the second favourite and I’m hoping she reproduces that here tonight. Her main rival, kennel mate Dale Bale, looks her danger. He’s also one who has found form of late, and he too raced at Bendigo last start. His overall time was not as quick as the girls, but he still looms as a danger. She has great box speed and fly’s ouy and if she can cross early she will prove very hard to catch. Each Way.

A tough day of racing with a few really short favourites. I’ve thrown in the odd value runner and I wish you the best of luck, investing your hard earned on.

Good Luck
