Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Chloe’s Mate 5.42pm
Poor race with little speed or ability engaged. I’m going with a fair bitch who races quite well consistently Chloe’s Mate. She’s not brilliant out but neither are any of the others. She’s a good railer and will have no trouble running the 500 journey. She competes quite well over the 600m trip and can run around 30.50 on a good track, but the tracks not consistent and is slow at present. There’s not a great deal I can ramble on about here. Box 1, fastest dog, in the best form and should win.
Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 7 Elite Play 2.19pm
There appears only two main chances on exposed form. Looks like Dad and Elite Play. I’m going with the later here in Elite Play. The Petar Jovanivic, trained daughter of Elite State has been consistent and good in her last couple here. She doesn’t show a great deal of pace, but night just have enough to get across here before the box 1 runner does. Looks Like Dad, does have a much better PB then Elite Play, but I think it’s as good as he can go. Elite Play trained by the maestro might have just a little bit more left in her yet. Her PB of 30.39 is only average but with clear running she might be able to get down to 30.20 odd. At around $4.00 here today she’s certainly worth an each way ticket.
Dapto Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 8 Tollo, 8.45pm
Tollo just looks as if he will thrash this field. He’s only young but he looks a good young prospect. The fact he steps up in trip here, is off great advantage. But ideally you want a good solid 500m dog. But take nothing away from him here he should be far too good. I haven’t seen enough of him to know wether the outside box will suit. But on speed and ability alone he should position himself close enough to finish to strong.
Cannington Greyhounds, Race 5 Box 1 Tracer Bullet 7.38pm WA time
This bloke is today’s best bet! I know he won’t be huge odds maybe $3.00 but it’s money in the bank I reckon if you back him. He’s a box 1 Bandit, and loves to find the lure early. Once he finds the bunny he really flattens out and gets down to business. His last start second behind Happy Tiger, was good when he was unable to lead. He will have no such trouble here tonight and should ping straight on the old rabbit. His best time here is a quick 30.41 but he will need to run every bit of that to hold of Jack O’Riley and last weeks winner Happy Tiger. Box 1 if you can use it is a big advantage and that’s why I’m going with him here tonight over the other two talented runners.
Ballarat Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 1 Instant Bale 8.38pm
It’s another night of favorites here tonight at Ballarat I feel. Regular followers will be aware i like to select dogs from good boxes and the Wheeler runner Instant Bale is it here tonight. His last start 3rd was good at Sandown, when he was a little slow to begin, but he did work home nicely to finish 3rd. From the cheery here tonight, he should position himself 3 or 4th and he should be to strong here for them. He’s a little one paced so he can’t get too far back. He’s a winner of 17 races and certainly knows how to win. He also has a great box 1 record and although he’s getting on, he looks to good from the red here tonight.
The Danger Is Destini Warrior and if he can get forward and skip away he may be able pinch this here.
Warrnambool Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 2 Kihael Canon, 7.48pm
It’s about the right time for Kihael Canon, to salute again. His last start run against Koko Kola and Classy Maldini was brilliant. Koko Kola was extremely well backed and didn’t disappoint, winning by half a length to the Canon. He’s racing really well and has plenty of early toe to lead these. I don’t like the young gun Zambora Storm, one bit. He’s a good young dog, but he takes on the big boys here. He’s had only the 7 starts, where the rest of the field have had over 300 race starts. It will take a mammoth effort for him to turn the tables on the old fellas. Expect the Canon to lead and if he does i doubt they can catch him.
Best of luck
