Albion Park Greyhounds Race 2 Box 2 Wanga Wally, 3.57pm
I rarely tip first starters, but I have found one here that really jumps off the page. Wonga Wally is by Fear Zafonic out of the super little bitch Peppermint Polly. Peppermint Polly hails from a very successful litter, where only 2 of the entire litter reached their full potential. The whole litter had ability but things went against them. The Grand dam Cream Roller has thrown on and I see no reason why Peppermint Polly won't do the same. The combination of Gerard Bowe and Peter Carr has teamed up before with good success, so I'll be backing this one here today. First starter but bred to be good.
Cranbourne Greyhounds Race 4 Box 3 Podolski 5.29pm
This dog was a great winner here at his first start, but has gone off the boil since then. It seems as if he doesn't want to jump and this is what has led to his bad form. There's no doubt he can run, and he should improve on his winning time here. He should clear the inside two and if he finds the front he'll prove very hard to catch. He should be big odds and he looks a solid each-way chance. The biggest danger will be the speedy Running Man and he will look to get forward early form the get go. If he finds the front he'll be the toughest to beat.
Ballarat Greyhounds Race 8 Box 4 Renegade Chief 9.18pm
This is a clear cut two dog race and there's no doubt the value will be with Renegade Chief. I've always thought there was too much hype around him, but there's no doubting his ability. Blaster, drawn perfectly in box 1, looks the winner. But, he'll start short and won't be worth backing. Renegade Chief can give Blaster a start and beat him if he gains clear running throughout. Both dogs are yet to win here but that won't make any difference at all here. He's fresh up of a short spell and Kel will have him 110%. Being fresh may make him jump and there looks value in backing him here in this.
Bulli Greyhounds Race 2 Box 1 Coonawarra Gold 7.26pm
I really like this fellow's chance of winning. He has drawn the right box and is no doubt a very quick dog. If he can jump away here and burrow up along the rail early on he'll just simply run over the top of a few ordinary dogs here tonight. Don't take silly odds but. $2.50 is about the right price.
