Greyhound Betting Tips Saturday 19th April

Tonight's racing is one of the biggest nights of the year, with the final of the One . $250,000 awaits the winner and the likely favourite is the Tasmanian Buckle Up Wes from box one.

Ipswich Greyhounds Race 3 Box 7 Ohiyesa 6.09pm

The daughter of Never Enough and Poldar Gem looks to have a mortgage on this race. She has recorded a solid 30.62 here and will handle the outside box. There's very little pace drawn on her inside and she should find herself getting across the field without too much hassle. There isn't much in this field that can run the time she can, so she won't need to lead to win. As long as she gets out and positions herself within striking distance she should win. Box three runner Boo Boo Child is the main danger and if she pushes forward early she'll be hard to catch.

Wentworth Park Greyhounds Race 7 Box 1 Buckle Up Wes, 9.45pm

Buckle Up Wes is my tip in the big one tonight. He's proven he can run time here at , he's proven he's a class runner with a group one win under his belt. Box one is perfect for him and he should be able to jump away with and hold the rail. Box five runner Magic Display should head them up early, but I doubt she can hold on to the lead much past the winning post first time round. All Buckle Up Wes needs to do is hold the rail and push hard around the first turn and he should add another $250,000 to his impressive career earnings so far. Tonk is the main danger but I doubt both Tonk and Wes will finish in the top three.

It's likely one of then will miss out and id say it will happen early on in the race rather later. It's likely one will get strung up early or spat out the back. Everyone is likely to have a opinion on this race, but as we know boxes win races and there's no substitute for box one if the dog can use it well, and Wes should relish the draw.

Stick with Wes and throw a few in behind in first fours.

Cannington Greyhounds Race 1 Box 3 Gone To Heaven, 9.05pm

This girl looks a moral to win here tonight. She's a speed machine who only needs a safe getaway to blow these away. She has begun slowly in her past couple and that has cost her dearly. But she has the peace to lead these and when she does it's all over. Box seven runner Last Day was a huge surprise after leading all bar the post in a solid 30.48. I was surprised to see him hold on over the 530 metre trip, as he generally struggles past 450 metres.

Last Day will threaten but if Gone To Heaven pings and goes Last Day might throw the towel in. Spot on Pedro is a huge chance, the son of Where's Pedro has been flying around so don't be surprised to see him right there tonight, great quinella with Gone To Heaven.

Best of Luck
