AFTER having a difficult week we have managed to go back to back with another multi saluting last night at great odds. Hopefully we can keep it rolling today and cap off a great weekend.

Leg 1 – Gawler – Race 4: Cam Monelli To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $1.83
Cam Monelli is a talented WA speedster and he was far from disgraced when making his SA debut here last week. On that occasion he was a tad slow to begin but he mustered speed very quickly and he hit the line well before going down narrowly. Tonight he meets a similar field and with an ounce of luck in the early stages he should be able to finish in the top two.
Leg 2 – Sandown Park – Race 6: Dewana Babe To Place $2.38
Dewana Babe is much better than her recent form reads and she looks well placed in the wide draw today. She doesn't have a great amount of early speed but she does pick up quite well and she should be able to balance up in the middle of the pack. Once she gets to the outside she is capable of really winding up and she will hit the line hard. I don't think she can win today but she won't be far away and a top three finish looks likely.
Leg 3 – Sandown Park – Race 7: Bruce Tycoon To Place (Top Two Finish Required) $1.73
Bruce Tycoon is a class act on his day and this is the weakest race he has contested for a while. Three starts back he showed great early speed before posting a scorching 29.73 Geelong win and a similar performance today would see him win. The empty draw underneath is a big advantage and I'm expecting a forward showing from his today. He is currently great value at $3 to win with Bet365 but I think the place option is much safer and it is also a nice price.
