Race 10: Double Storm
Double Storm has a fair bit on his rivals and with an ounce of luck early he should be scoring. Two starts back he overcame a slow start and he really powered to the line when posting a smart 25.29 win here. From the favourable draw tonight he should get a nice cart across in the early stages and there should be no excuses for him.
Race 5: Ada Mary
Ada Mary is a smart stayer when right and she was far from disgraced when placed in her heat last week. She has always done her best racing when she can lead and dictate the terms, tonight there isn’t a lot of speed underneath her so I’m expecting her to roll to the top early and she might be able to sneak away mid race. This isn’t an overly strong final and at the double figure odds I think she will definitely give them something to catch.
Race 4: Zipping Felix
Zipping Felix has returned to racing in fine style and if he reproduces the effort which saw him win at Wentworth Park in a breathtaking 29.48 he will win again. He is currently at the $2.75 mark with William Hill and for a chaser of his calibre he is well over the odds. I’m expecting him to start odds on come race time, so I suggest you snap up the over’s early on. His record here isn’t great but he is a much better chaser this time around and he is drawn to get all the breaks.
Race 8: 5 to rove with 2,4,6 ($3 for 100%)
Crackerjack Max loves racing over this track and trip and he should be able to carve across and find the early lead. If he leads them up he should be able to snag a top two finish. Amaro Bale is a class act and he is drawn to be prominent throughout, whilst Texas Titan and Ima Fairytale are both strong chasers and they can run home into the money.
Race 8: 1,3,8/1,3,7,8/1,2,3,4,7,8 ($36 for 100%)
