Took a few starts to find form, but Lektra Jenny (Walk Hard x Lektra Angie Jul 15) is our best of the day from the Geelong Tier 3 meeting. Has won her past two starts in good fashion and looks a lock to add a third in as many weeks at the same track and distance. Isn't brilliant from the boxes, but has a slow beginner drawn on the outside of her and should get enough room early to either lead or sit outside Cavalry Rose.

Best Bet: Race 3 Box 8 Mitchfield Mia – $500 Free Bet at Ladbrokes
The drop back from 600m to 520m might just be enough for us to get a price about Mitchfield Mia (Don't Knocka Him x Proper Lucy Jul '13) in this top grade event. Has won three of nine starts from this box and does have a tendency to race one or two off the fence. Will be very strong late and the scratchings only improve her chances with just four other competitors left to negotiate. Has won five of seven starts this track and distance. Impossible to go past.

Best Bet: Race 10 Box 8 Ailla – Sportsbet $501 Sign Up Offer
Extremely even race with most runners in the 25.30-25.40 range on best times. All the pace is drawn to the inside boxes with Wildash Kelly from box one and reserve runner I'm Glad gaining a start from box two. Ailla (Magic Sprite x Mon Cherie Feb '14) has been racing well with out luck at recent starts and looks very well placed from the outside draw. Almost led them up here last week from box seven and is ideally placed to take advantage of any tightening for room likely to impact the inside greyhounds.
