Shady Ace has had a couple of chances to score but she hasn’t had a lot of luck in some of her races and he effort here last week was enormous. She was knocked over soon after the start but she managed to pick herself and she charged home to be beaten by just over a length. With the speed drawn underneath her tonight, she should be able to lob onto the rail and settle in the first half of the field and I would then expect her to run over the top of them late in the race.
Mr. Make Believe showed a tremendous turn of foot in his heat placing and if he can step a little better tonight he might have the speed to get across and lead. He got a little tired in the run home last time but that was his first 500m race so I would expect him to improve on that run.
Don’t Tell Fil caught the eye with a strong 30.15 heat win and a similar effort tonight will see him feature, he will need to step cleanly but he has shown good box manners in his brief career to date, so that isn’t too much of a concern.
Top Four: 3 – 5 – 7 – 1

Let It Develop is racing in career best form and I can’t see him being beaten tonight. He is likely to start short odds but he does everything right in his races and he should lead from go to whoa. Last week he capped off a good stretch of form with a sizzling 29.85 win here and if he reproduces that run he should win by at least five lengths.
Yale showed good early speed in his effort here last week and he didn’t hit the line too badly, he obviously struggles over the concluding stages but he hung in for longer than normal last week and if he settles in the top two early he should be there at the end.
Uno Justice is yet to win here in 16 starts but he is rarely far away and he looks a great place hope, from the red he should settle in a prominent position and he is quite strong in the run home.
