Mepunga Ledger hasn’t had much luck in his past two starts but prior to that he did post two brilliant Warrnambool wins over 450m. He doesn’t have great box manners but he does possess a wonderful turn of foot and from the rails draw he should be able to drive up into a prominent position early. He is very strong in the run to the line so the 520m journey should suit.
Crackerjack Babe was a strong 33.03 Horsham winner three runs back and she should figure prominently from the red draw, she is a fair way from her best at present but she is drawn to make an impact.
Soho Rhythm is much better than her recent form suggests and she should appreciate the drop in class, she normally shows early speed and if she can settle in the top two or three early she will prove hard to hold out.
Top Four: 2 – 1 – 5 – 3
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Mepunga Ledger

Capullo Bale looks perfectly placed in the red draw and he enjoys racing at this track. He normally steps fairly but he musters pace at a rate of knots and with just average beginners drawn on his outside he should get every chance to punch through and hold them out. He has a blistering 25.60 PB here and if he can repeat that effort he will take a power of beating.
Santa’s Special is another who loves this track and trip and she is well drawn in the pink, last time out she overcame numerous difficulties to score here in 26.21 and with a clear run early she is capable of going a lot quicker.
We Are Geelong can be hard to follow but he has plenty of talent and he should get a nice trail behind Capullo Bale in the early stages, I dont think he can win but he is a must for the exotics.
Top Four: 1 – 8 – 2 – 6
Suggested Bets:
Win bet on Capullo Bale
Quinella: 1 to rove with 2,6,8 ($3 for 100%)
Exacta: 1,8/1,2,6,8 ($6 for 100%)
