Kynan's Magic is probably better suited to a wider draw but he has turned in some super efforts at Cranbourne of late over the 311m journey. Four starts back he showed a dazzling turn of foot when scoring in 17.58 and if he can turn in a similar performance tonight he will take a power of beating.

Tekki Tremor has been placed in six of his past eight starts and he has been placed in four of five here overall, the box draw hasn't done him any favours but he can show early speed in his races and this is the weakest event he has contested for quite a while.

Cruisy Limelight will be suited to the wide draw and he recently recorded a smart 425m placing, he has raced well here in the past and he should be afforded a clear run early.

Top Four: 2 – 6 – 7 – 1

8SANTA'S SPECIAL (NSW)[3]2111325.70(8)E Lloyd (Anakie)

Very good race and I think the well drawn Santa's Special can get the job done. She has won five of 17 over this trip and her 25.70 PB is more than competitive, from the pink draw she will get plenty of room in the first 50m and that should allow her to swoop into the first bend and zip away. Two starts back she held out the in form Mepunga Ledger when scoring at in 25.26 and a similar effort tonight would see her score.

Inventor has returned to his best form and last time out he reeled off sizzling sectionals before posting a smart 25.39 overall at Warrnambool. There is very little speed drawn underneath so he should get room to push through in the initial stages.

Sofa So Good is a lid pinged and it's hard to ignore his impressive 24.75 win last time, he will need to lead to win but he is capable of making every post a winner.

Banged Up Bill is the interesting runner, he has always shown promise and this injury prone chaser has won three on end in fine style, this is a rise in class for him but with a trouble free run he could hit the scoreboard.

Top Four: 8 – 2 – 3 – 5
