Mendes has had no luck at all in her career to date and from the red I think she can punch through at the first turn and if she holds them out she should win with ease. So far to date she has had to come from well off the speed in her races and she constantly finds bother. This is clearly the weakest race she has contested and there is no speed at all, so she should get all the breaks early.

Riverdale Ellie has been placed in eight of 20 starts to date and her effort at over 400m last time was eye catching, she hit the line strongly and she gives the indication that this trip should suit. Emmett Ryker is well placed out wide and he has a solid record over this trip, he can bomb the start at times but if he gets away he should run a big race.

Strange Wish is dropping considerably in class today and he should get every chance to score. Two starts ago he led them up at and it took the highly promising Polly Bale to run him down. This race doesn’t have a lot of depth so if he can find the bunny early he should be able to lead from go to whoa.

Parkfield Pirate has been placed in eight of 13 here and he was a strong 30.47 winner over this trip in September. Today he has a slow beginner drawn on his outside so he should get a clear run into the first bend.

Gold Bullion is a reliable beginner and he should settle in the top two early and his recent 26.42 Warragul win shows that he has regained some confidence. Talk’s Cheeky rounds out the chances, he can be very hard to follow but he did turn in a big performance when placed behind Pappa Gallo here three runs back.
