Avid Tyson had been struggling for a little while but she showed that she is back to her best with a brilliant 22.64 Gawler win last week. The most impressive part of that win was that Cash Or Credit landed just behind her and she was still able to hold him off. She looks well placed in the wide draw today and if she gets away with them she should put a space in them. Velocity Breeze is a class act and she looks the obvious danger, her recent form doesn’t look to flashy but she has been missing the start of late and I’m expecting her to show some improvement. Ten Aces has won two of his three SA starts to date and he must be respected, however the box draw is against him today and he will need a lot of things to go his way early. Man Of Manners rounds out the chances, he is a railer and he should get every chance to feature from the good draw.

Kara Roto is normally a very reliable beginner and with the lack of speed drawn underneath her she should get every chance to score. She has won two of four over this trip and this is the weakest race that she has contested for some time. With a clean getaway she should drive to the early lead and score. Revert Bale looks suitably drawn in the pink and she should be able to improve on some luckless runs of late, she has been placed in two of her three tries here and the smaller field should suit. Flash Tyson is the interesting runner, she was a solid debut winner at Gawler but she hasn’t done much since and if she goes around at silly odds she may be worth a saver bet. Lektra Betty is the only other winning prospect but I think she is better suited to something longer, include her in your exotic bets.

Top Four: 3 – 8 – 2 – 5
