Greyhound Tips For Monday 18th February 2013

A fantastic night of racing tonight, and some really good chances going around. Raid the piggy bank, search the car, look under the couches rustle up what you can. And with a little luck go our way, our pockets will be full to the brim by the end of the night. At least that's the plan………

Albion Park Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 2 Gamah's Wonder. 8.42 pm Qld time

Gamah's Wonder looks all but a certainty in this 5th grade event tonight. Only a couple of starts ago he took on and beat some quality opposition at big odds. And stamped his authority as a genuine contender among Qld's city class Dogs. He's getting better and better with the more starts he has over the 500. He's by the Qld Sire in Brett's Rival who raced well into his later year with great success. As his name suggests Brett's Rival is by the great in x Fairy Wings and from a very, very limited amount of pups, she has had good success. Gamah's Wonder looks really well placed to beat this sorry lot here tonight and he should poise up really handy rounding the first turn and will just have too much speed and class for this line up. Great Bet !!!!

Angle Park Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 1 Cambrian Rock. 8.53pm Vic time

Well I've been on this blokes band wagon for the last 6 or so starts and unfortunately he has been unable to draw that inside box he so needed to win. The upside to tonight's is he's finally come up trumps and landed the perfect box. The downside is this, I think he may have already hit his peak a couple of starts ago and has also struck a hot field here tonight. However the last few weeks have taught me to follow up on my selections even when the cards are stacked against them. One such dog Rustic Sunrise, who I tipped a couple of weeks ago to no avail. Bolted in Thursday night at running 30.10, paying $8.50, so we're not gonna let Cambrian Rock escape us here tonight, despite the quality opposition he faces. He has a great record from inside boxes and has been ever so consistent of late. From unsuitable boxes this bloke has managed to run fantastic races, never once having any luck go his way. Always having to come from behind and weave his way through the field. No such problems with that tonight from the red, and if this bloke is still at his peak he will be almighty hard to beat. Against slightly weaker opposition and from the rails, I'd mortgage the house on him. Don't tonight, but don't let this bloke go around without something on, he's A HUGE CHANCE !!! Don't let me down fella after that wrap………….

Bulli Greyhounds, Race 8 Box 2 Dawn Knows Best. 9.30pm NSW time

How well has this bitch gone in her last 3 starts here at , she's been absolutely flying! She's posted exactly 26.38 in her last two starts and under normal circumstances that time would win just about every race on the cards. She's had to chase super young bitch Nosey Rozey (who sustained an injury in last weeks run) in both of her starts. And each time looking a major threat to the young star. Theres no Nosey in this tonight, but there is the unbeaten Knocka's Return, who from box 7 posted a quick 22.59 here last start over 400, and who is also undefeated in 5 starts. But surely he can't deny her a win over the 472 tonight? She has the time on the bored and he's stepping up to the trip for the first time which makes it hard for a young dog, and even harder to win 6 in a row !!. She should begin a lot better then the last couple of starts as there ain't as much speed around her. However, there is another danger in Welden Flash who went neck and neck with Dawn Knows Best last start, but I'm going to overlook him and surely she wins tonight. Great Bet.

Shepparton Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 1 Dyna Ezeki. 10.10 pm Vic time

Speedy beginner who went very well last start when he led and nearly pinched it against the Super Talented Crump. No Crump tonight and from the inside this bloke should lead this field from the get go. Has a fantastic record having won 10 from 25 with 7 placings and looks set to add to the win tally tonight. Goes real well from inside boxes and has been tackling a breaker and some very fast dogs in his last couple. His runs haven't been as bad as they appear in the form and hopefully with the bad form we get a good price about this bloke. Has to tackle a quality field but he's young and strong and has the speed to salute in this.

Launceston Greyhounds, Race 10 Box 2 Nooee's Lad. 10.40pm Vic time

Plenty of certainties on tonight's card in and they all will start very short I've tried to pick the one I think will be the although he will still be short. Nooee's Lad had tremendous early toe and absolutely flys the lids. This sets the whole race up for him and if he does that here tonight its all over bar the shouting. Has to contend with Willy Wag Tail and Chosen Jewel, but with his early speed and inside box he should be winning this. Looks to be getting stronger with ever run and looks the winner in this. Great bet.

Well their you have it a night filled with some really good chances and all of which have drawn good boxes. It's important to back good dogs off good boxes. All to many times punter come unstuck backing good dogs of bad boxes.

Generally the good thing doesn't start to much shorter from a good box then a bad. So stick to backing the good things off good boxes, boxes win races. No doubt your rate will improve.

Best of Luck.
