Greyhound Racing Tips For Tuesday 19th February 2013

Was an unlucky night last night with 4 seconds and one winner. Our best hope Cambrian Rock missed the kick hopelessly but still managed to get home hard along the rails and with a steady jump theirs no doubt he would of won. Oh well next time.

Ipswich Greyhounds, Race 6 Box 8 Berella Kathryn, 4.39pm QLD time

A nice race here with two good young dogs engaged. Berella Kathryn for Logan Village trainer Jamie Mcgugh , and Miss Karoo for the south of he border trainer Stephen Casey, look set to fight this one out. But Berella Kathryn looks the winner for mine, the two battled it out two weeks ago and Miss Karoo came up trumps running a slick 30.45. That day MK had box 1 and used the box to Perfection spotting BK, a few lengths and wooshing past her mid race and racing away. Winning by over ten lengths to BK, however this time around BK has drawn the 8 and MK the 5.BK has enormous early toe and she should ping out and skip right away in this. MK won't get the run she did last time the two met and should have to work hard to get clear running. By the time she gets clear BK should be off and gone. There was ten lengths difference last time in MK's , this time BK By 2/12 lengths. Good bet.

Gawler Greyhounds, Race 11 Box 1 Cussler, 3.42 pm Vic time

Cussler has drawn perfectly here in box 1 for today's event. He's a fast dog who's very strong to the line and looks set to score in this. His two main dangers are the very fast Russian Red, and Crumbs. Russian Red is a slow box dog who will get back and run on and from box 6 he won't be able to give Cussler a start and beat him. Crumbs on the other hand has good early toe but has to get across from the 7 which makes it difficult. For those reasons I'm going with Cussler.
He will get the run of the race and only has to land in front of his two main rivals to win. Boxes win races and this bloke has the box today.

Devonport Greyhounds. Race 1 Box 6, Bain's Lane. 12.53 pm Vic time

I never like selecting a runner in a race that has first starters with no form to go on. And it's not easy here with Punter “” the owner of the 1 dog here, and you'd expect it to have some ability. But I'm going with the handy Bain's Lane he's won 3 from 11 with a further 4 placings and posted a quick 30.14 last start at . He's the most experienced runner of the field and won the most races and it will take a good young dog to defeat him here. Unless theirs a real smarty he should just win. Great bet.

Lismore Greyhounds, Race 7 Box 8 Moe Trick 8.45 pm NSW time

Moe Trick has drawn nicely here off the track in the 8 box where he has won two and placed twice in 5 starts. He has the early toe to lead here and skip away. He does struggle a little at the trip but there's not alot of quality to this race and if he can jump and run he will prove very hard to catch. Good each way bet.

Gosford Greyhounds Race 2 Box 7, Tomato Catch Up. 7.18 pm NSW time

Super speedy Tomato Catch Up debuts at the longer distance here and should have no trouble with the longer distance. Her littermates have no trouble running the 600 and if that's anything to go by she should run it right out. She can begin like a bomb and she should easily and lead this field. If she begins she will find herself a long way in front early and looks a great bet to win this. Not alot of dangers and her front running style should see them having to spot her a big lead early.

Warragul Greyhounds, Race 4 Box 8 Paw Licking. 7.48 pm Vic time

The dual holder Paw Licking, looks set to salute in this. Has drawn nicely in the 8 and begins like a shot out of a cannon. He has a huge motor up to 450m and should put pay to these here tonight. only keeps fast dogs and places them very well and Paw Licking shouldn't disappoint here from the 8 box tonight. Looks set to run the hands of the clock. Great bet.

Best of Luck
