Richmond Friday preview & free betting tips | November 29, 2024

Richmond will be in the spotlight again this Friday night, hosting a fantastic 12-race program from 7:17pm AEDT. The highlights will be the third-and-fourth-grade sprint and a very good 622m race. Australian Racing Greyhound has studied the form to find you three of the best bets for the night.
Race 4: Waverley Vella (7)
Waverley Vella steps up to the 622m for the first time, but the way he has been racing of late suggests this distance will be ideal for him. He stormed home at Wentworth Park to just miss in fast time last start, and his win here the run prior was super. He is a dog that can make some mistakes in his races, but with any luck, he should have the measure of this field.
Best Bet
Race 4 –
Waverley Vella (7)
Form: 46312 | Career: 20: 2-5-4 | Trainer: Darren Sultana
Race 6: Chicken Burger (1)
Chicken Burger disappointed last time out here when he missed the start badly, but it was his first run in New South Wales for his new trainer. He had a good record in Victoria, and there was support for him on his NSW debut. He just needs to begin better this week, and he will be right in the thick of this race.

Race 6 –
Chicken Burger (1)

Race 10: Flying Piastri (7)
This boy was flying before finding trouble here two starts back and having a fall. After a short break, he resumed at Bulli and led the race but just found the long home straight too much for him. He will much better suited back at Richmond with a run under his belt, and although very awkwardly drawn out in box seven, he should represent great value in a tough race.
