Rockhampton greyhound tips & value bets | Tuesday, July 5
This week, we have another rare Tuesday night meeting at Rockhampton where we have a nice 10 race program to sort through. As the winter nights roll on, let us warm your night up with some best bets along with our quaddie selections.
BEST BET: First Black Jack (Race 4)
The Ken Boody-trained First Black Jack (box 1) looks the best bet on the program. This son of Zipping Garth has been very impressive since returning to Rockhampton. Two starts ago, he led all the way to beat Canary Wharf from box one, clocking a fast 23.66 seconds. Last Start, he beat Informality from box two, clocking a very fast 23.44 seconds. He has now won ten races and placed another five times, from sixteen starts over this track and distance. Drawn to lead all the way again. The Christine Pollard-trained Five Putt Cal (box 5) looks the main danger but he will need to ping the lids and cross First Black Jack if he was to beat him.

Race 9 –
Form: 437811 | Career: 31: 15-3-6 | Trainer: Ken Boody
NEXT BEST: Rosa's Laugh (Race 8)
The Ken Boody-trained Rosa's Laugh (box 3) looks the next best bet on the program. This daughter of Kinloch Brae has struck a suitable 5th grade race over the 510m distance. She is currently in good form. Last start, she finished second behind Velocity Kayla over 510m from box seven, clocking a good 30.30 seconds. Her previous three starts were all over the shorter 407m distance in higher grades. She broke 24 seconds in each of those runs which would see her leading this race and be hard to run down. Main danger looks to be Friend Lee's Boy (box 4). He is also trained by local leading trainer Ken Boody. His personal best time for the 510m is 30.39 seconds so may struggle to get past Rosa's Laugh. Francis Geoffrey (box 7) has been disappointing when unplaced in both of his starts over the 510m distance.

BEST VALUE BET: Tarawi Opal (Race 2)
The Allan Svensen-trained Tarawi Opal (box 6) looks a good each way chance and is our value bet for the program. Suggest a 1×3 win/place ratio bet. There will only be two place dividends as there will be less than eight starters in this race. This daughter of Zambora Brockie is currently in good form without winning lately. She has finish second on three occasions clocking just over 24 seconds in each run. Her personal best time record is 24.05 seconds which would probably win this novice race. She can show good early speed to offset her tricky draw and should be the greyhound to run down. The Dallas Beckett-trained Be Like Oliver (box 1) looks the main danger from his great draw.
