Rockhampton Tips, Best Bet, Next Best & Value Bet – 20/9 Preview
Rockhampton greyhounds will be held on a Tuesday night, rather than the normal Wednesday night meeting. We have another huge 12 race card at Rockhampton to sort through and find some winners. Here are our Rockhampton best bet tips & quaddie selections.
BEST BET: Spot On Lads (Race 11)
The Trent Thorley-trained Spot On Lads (box 3) looks the best bet on this program. This son of My Redeemer is currently in good form. In his last two starts, he has finished in the placings behind Bank Heist, clocking 23.87 and 23.84 seconds. A repeat of those two runs would see him winning this 5th grade race. Tonight, he should be able to cross the two greyhounds drawn directly inside of him and lead all the way. The Trent Thorley kennel is currently racking up a lot of prizemoney with the “Spot On” named greyhounds. He could have another good night with Spot On Albert and Spot On Polly also looking good chances in races 9 and 10 respectively.

NEXT BEST: Tarawi Elsa (Race 5)
The Craig Emery-trained Tarawi Elsa (box 1) looks the next best bet on the program. This daughter of Dyna Double One and former Sydneysider has now had two runs at the Rockhampton circuit. On debut at Rockhampton, she finished second behind Chips In from box two, clocking a moderate 24.44 seconds. Last start, she was unplaced in a good field of 5th graders behind Bank Heist from box four but still managed to clock 24.18 seconds. Tonight, coming out of box one she gets her chance to record her first victory at Rocky. The main danger looks to be Be Like Oliver (box 2). He finished alongside Tarawi Elsa last start but is not the quickest beginner so he could struggle to get passed Tarawi Elsa.

BEST VALUE BET: Suited It (Race 7)
The Andrew Suli-trained Suited It (box 2) looks the value bet for the program. This son of Beast Unleashed is currently in good form without being able to record a win in his last five starts. Last start, he finished second behind Friend Lee's Boy from box four after being slow to begin, clocking a good 23.79 seconds. Two starts ago, he was luckless early when finishing third behind Enrique Fernando from box two. Here he has a good low draw and looks a great each way bet. Suggest a 1×3 betting ratio. The Dallas Beckett-trained Bank Heist (box 1) will be a short price favourite as he will be wearing the coveted red rug. Bank Heist can also miss the starts on occasions so if our bloke can head him off early and find the rail he should be hard to run down.
