Leg 1 – Sale – Race 8: Ballymac Finola To Place $3.75
Ballymac Finola can be very hard to follow at times but there is no doubting that she is blessed with enormous talent. She has a habit of absolutely bombing the start but her speed from the 20m to the 200m mark is phenomenal and if she can only slightly hesitate tonight she should be able to put herself into contention a lot earlier. She likes to scout wide in her races so the draw is a big advantage. I don't think she can win the race but I do think a top three finish looks likely and she appears to be good value.
Leg 2 – Sale – Race 9: Wez Gordy To Place $1.80
Wez Gordy is normally a faultless beginner and he appears well placed in the wide draw. There is a heap of speed drawn in boxes six and seven, however those two runners will be looking for the fence, so that should allow him to get a nice cart across in the run to first corner. His last 50m isn't great but he should have the lead as they turn for home and therefore he should be able to finish in the money.
Leg 3 – Sale – Race 12: Aston Ugo To Win $2.80
Aston Ugo is another chaser who can be a little hard to follow but he appears perfectly placed in the pink draw and he has a bit on these talent wise. He has been missing the kick of late but from the pink draw tonight I am expecting him to come out a little better and that should allow him to tackle for the lead as they head into the bend. He will stay out wide so he should avoid any bother and I expect him to rip away in the closing stages.
